The name’s Molly.
I’m making my way through my twenties, New York City and life — perpetually in search of new ways to sweat, new things to eat and new wines to drink along the way.
I love to run. It’s as simple as that.
Yes, I love the physicality of it–the muscles in my legs driving me mile after mile and that overwhelming, wonderful exhaustion. But more so, I love the emotion of it–that time that is nothing but mine with nothing to worry about but taking in my surroundings through each stride.
As much as I’d like to tell you, though, that I run purely because I like it, I would be lying. Yes, yes, I am motivated to run because it’s freeing, head clearing and good for me, but a strong majority of the time, I love to run because I love to eat. And no this doesn’t mean, “Oh I ran today, I can eat a Big Mac” — no, just no.
I believe in balance. I believe in whole, natural foods. I believe that healthy can be delicious.
That being said, I am living in one of the greatest cities of food in the world. So yes, I do push myself for that extra mile so I can embrace the wonderful eats and drinks this city has to offer–because otherwise, really, what would be the point?
So that’s me–just a girl running for wine.
